Thank you for everyone involved in making this a very special week for me and many friends I have made. I had never heard of method Putkisto and really didn't know what to expect. Words cannot describe the experience and I feel I will not do it justice but I shall attempt it.
The feeling of the well being, despite some initial aches and pains and the discovery of muscles I never knew existed is enormous. The feeling of inner peace and the energy also cannot be ignored.
I cannot thank the team enough for their tireless efforts, dedication and f and focus throughout the week. This enabled everyone to benefit as there were many levels of fitness in the class. To quote one of my friends at the end of the week who really struggled at the beginning: "I have not felt so good in 30 years and I cannot wait to continue when I return to England!' ODE TO A TURKISH GODESS
Written by Jan Bradley, participant in the Method Putkisto Break at the Dionysos resort in Turkey, October 2003.
We're perched upon a Turkish cliff
Betwixt the sea and sky
We're slightly sore and slightly stiff
And here's the reason why....
We lie upon our yoga mats
Our feet up in the air
Breathe in, Breathe out, lift this, then that,
With laughter we all share
We've discovered our abdominals
And tickled out our toes
We've exercised our pectorals
And learned to move our nose!
Our hamstrings nicely lengthened now
And shoulder blades pulled down
We'll conquer this! But don't know how
To iron out the frown!
Fear not! Marja knows the way
To gently smooth those lines
With all her help, who knows we may
Look younger every day?!
Our backs are straight
Our tums tucked in
Our dinner's late!
Who cares, we're slim!!
